These terms cover how you may use BakeMetric. They are short because the site is simple: a reference you read, with nothing to buy and no account to hold.

The numbers are a reference, not a guarantee

We source every weight from a published authority and we say which one, but a cup of flour still weighs what your hand makes it weigh. Treat our figures as a careful starting point and check them against your own recipe and scale. We are not liable for a loaf that comes out dense because a cup was packed, or for any loss from acting on a number here. How we choose those numbers is set out on the methodology page.

Using our figures elsewhere

You may quote a conversion from this site in your own recipe, blog or class, and a link back is welcome though not required. Please do not scrape the whole site to rebuild it as a rival converter, and do not present our numbers as your own measured research when they came from the authorities named on the sources page. The site design, wording and the way we assemble the data stay ours.

Availability and changes

The site is offered as it is, and we may change a page, correct a figure or take the site down for maintenance without notice. When a source revises a number, we update ours, so a value you read today may read differently later. We will post any real change to these terms on this page rather than emailing you, since we hold no email to reach you at.
