Privacy policy

BakeMetric converts baking measurements. It asks you for nothing, and it keeps as little as a working website can. This policy states plainly what reaches us, what does not, and who else sees anything.

What we do not collect

There is no account to create and no newsletter to join, so we never hold your name, email or password. We do not ask for your location, and we do not build a profile of you across visits. The converter runs in your browser, so the ingredients and amounts you type stay on your device and never reach our server.

What reaches us automatically

Like most sites, ours runs behind Cloudflare, which sits between you and our pages to serve them quickly and to block attacks. Cloudflare logs the technical basics of a request, such as the page asked for, a rough region and the browser type, and it may set a cookie that tells its network you are not a bot. We read these only as totals, to see which pages get used and to keep the site up.

If we add analytics, we will use a service that counts visits without tracking you between sites, and we will name it here before it goes live.

Advertising, stated in advance

This site plans to carry ads to pay for the research behind its numbers. When ads arrive, the ad provider may set cookies or read a device identifier to choose what to show and to measure whether it was seen. That is how ad networks work, and we will name the provider on this page the day it starts, along with a link to opt out. Until then, no advertising cookie is set.

Your choices

Your browser can block or clear cookies for this site without breaking the converter, since the tool needs none of them to run. If you are in a region with a data-protection law, you may ask what we hold, though for a visitor who never signed up the answer is a line in a server log. The way to reach us is the contact page.
